The effect of shock waves on infection is not studied earlier. We have observed two different phenomena when mice were exposed to shock wave before and after Salmonella infection. The infection was low when mice were exposed to shock waves before infection. The shock wave induced cytokines profile changes may be the reason for these different phenomena. The microarray data will provide clear reason for these observations.
