In soil geotechnical characterization, the strength parameters, cohesion (c) and internal friction angle (Φ) have been traditionally measured without taking into account temperature, which is a very important issue in energy geostructures. The present document analyzes the variation of these parameters in soil-concrete interface at different temperatures. A series of traditional direct shear tests, with a forced plane of failure, were carried out to determine the variation of skin friction with granular and cohesive soils with temperature.
