摘要

In this study, influence of the Fukushima accident on Japan's nuclear fuel cycle policy is analyzed. When we assume that 30 nuclear power plants (NPPs) will re-operate, the demand of mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for light water reactors is decreased and the operation rate of Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant is decreased to only 30%. However, reprocessing unit cost is increased about 3 times. On the other hand, when dry cask storage is applied as a counterproposal, the spent fuel management is made more economical and its predictability is enhanced by the decrease in the number of nuclear power plants.
