1. The environmental worthiness is an important quality characteristics, which will affect the compact effectiveness of materiel, so it must be incorporated into the design of materiel. 2. The environmental worthiness requirements consist of series of quantitative parameters value and (or) qualitative parameters value, which are typical of uniqueness, complexity and combination of qualitative and quantitative description. And index system of environmental worthiness requirements should be developed as soon as possible. 3. Now China widely apply test conditions and test time in MIL-STD-810C/ G as environmental worthiness requirements of materiels, actually which are the verification condition for index of environmental worthiness requirements, rather than environmental worthiness requirements in the true sense. Currently, in the case of lack of data and experience, designers should carry out product design with the enhancing margin. 4. It is not enough to put forward environmental worthiness requirements, and to execute environmental test evaluation only for systems, subsystems or equipment with operational performance and function. Some structural components, materials , the plating, coating formed after surface treatment in materiel, may also have environmental worthiness problems. In addition to making full use of the natural environment test, there are improved for environmental worthiness by increasing the margin or designing damage tolerance.
