摘要

This research is mainly to describe and analyze the different methodologies used in engineering in order to evaluate the criteria in the design process and product development in business organizations, human resources, marketing, information and technology. Over the years the manufacturing SMEs in our country has remained unarticulated in the development process of the product and its life cycle. Based on the study methodology of concurrent engineering (IC), information was obtained from various sources such as interviews, observations, surveys and a pilot. We analyzed 20 variables, which are identified as key factors in order to evaluate the context of the IC and the Product Development Process (PDDP). Statistically, a representative sample size on a specialized database was identified; results aim to help companies in the industry who have studied an overview of the current conditions of the implementation of the IC, in order to ensure product performance optimization, as the life cycle of it. All this will be discussed within the engineering sector of Bogota, D. C.
