摘要

This paper presents a descriptive study and a multi-attribute analysis among 30 small size enterprises on the metal-mechanical sector in the borderland of Juarez City, Mexico. The objectives were to increase knowledge about the selection processes for AMT acquisition and obtain the relative importance of ergonomic compatibility attributes via the Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP) methodology. An Ergonomic Compatibility Survey (ECS) was applied to gather the information. As a result, AHP weights for Ergonomic Compatibility Attributes (ECA) were obtained and compared with experts' AHP weights. ECA are considered significant issues for competitiveness, nevertheless, they are frequently neglected among the decision makers.
