The concept and the detailed design of the turbo-generator welded rotor are based on theturbine rotor technology; this latter has demonstrated and proven more than 25 years’experience. The adaptation and application of this technology to the turbo-generators has beencompleted by a complete set of validation steps ranging from calculations to model and thenfull-scale rotor. Manufacturing steps have also been defined with specific tooling designed.All the completed design phases confirm the full interchangeability with the single pieceforging.
