Steady RANS results from low speed computational fluid dynamics studies of a business jet in flap-stowed and flap-deployed configurations are presented. Effects of leading edge transition trips on aerodynamic performance at and near stall conditions are investigated. Stall patterns for the airplane in high lift conditions are studied for this purpose. Effectiveness of stall strips in mitigating adverse stall characteristics of a general aviation aircraft is considered. Flow separation patterns observed in wind-tunnel tests are compared with those from CFD analysis to investigate wind-tunnel wall interference effects.
