1. PVDF, and particularly PVDF with ceramic fillers (not ceramic coatings) offers a better alternative to conventional polyolefin separators for safety, cycle life & performance 2. Care should be taken in testing cell assemblies with any high rate/high porosity separator to prevent unecessary damage from excess HiPot voltages 3. 300 ohm resistance checking is preferred to HiPot voltage 4. No signficant difference has been found in long-term cell performance between cells tested with 400V HiPot and those tested at lower voltages.
