This paper is concerned with robust stabilization and H{sub}∞ control of a class of uncertain discretetime systems via fuzzy switching approach. The system is modeled by a class of TS fuzzy models with linear nominal parts and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties. A sufficient condition on robust stability of the uncertain fuzzy models is proposed and the H{sub}∞ disturbance attenuation performance of the uncertain fuzzy models is analysed. Some sufficient conditions are derived for robust H{sub}∞ disturbance attenuation in which both robust stability and a prescribed H{sub}∞ performance are required to be achieved, irrespective of the uncertainties. Numerical example shows the use of the results on the stabilization and H{sub}∞ control for a class of nonlinear systems via fuzzy switching.
