摘要

Piezoelectric materials lie at the heart of ultrasonic transducer design. Piezopolymer materials convert electrical energy into mechanical form and vise versa. The low acoustic impedance and relatively high electromechanical coupling of PVDF and its copolymer make them well suited for the design of ultrasonic transducers. This paper discusses the design and fabrication of very high frequency prototype single element ultrasonic transducer based on the concept, of rear filling method. Further development will lead to a new design of prototype multi-element transducer based on both linear and phased array concepts.
