Error Analysis of an AC Voltage Differential Sampling System

This paper analyzes error sources of a differential sampling system. We derive the error transfer function and prove that the effect of gain error on the accuracy of the reconstructed sine wave measurement is significantly reduced by a switching method. The relationship between the differential coefficient and the differential signal have been analyzed. It is concluded that if the RMS amplitude error of sine wave being less than 0.05 μV/V, the system gain error should be less than 46 μV/V when the number of steps is 40 or greater.
