This paper describes a laser-pumped cesium-helium magnetometer (CHM) with high polarization efficiency. The magnetic-resonance signal amplitude has been improved by one order of magnitude comparing with the lamp-pumped scheme. The optimal parameters for increasing the signal-to-noise ratio of the magnetometer are obtained and discussed.
