THE CURRENT SITUATION AND PROSPECT OF THE TRAVEL INFORMATION SERVICE IN MEGACITIES OF CHINA

In the recent years, transportation systems of megacities in China are facing to challenges such as traffic congestion, insufficient transport capacity comparing to the rapidly growing population, and so forth. New technologies and services are provided in order to resolve the problem, and fulfill the market demand at the same time. This paper will explore the development of the new generation urban traffic information service, under the new requirements and new technology environment. In addition, Beijing will be chosen as a pilot study area, to analysis its present development situation on the aspects of economy, population, transportation infrastructure and motor vehicle quantities, public transport quantity, etc. On the base of highly focus on mobile internet development situation and characteristics, the development characteristics of the urban traffic information service under the new social economic and technical environment will be investigated. Finally, with the experience of mobile internet enterprise development mode, the development of new generation urban traffic information service will be up to the users in the center and cooperation.
