Study on the Closing State of High Voltage Disconnectors Based on the Modal Analysis

High-voltage disconnectors are the largest and most important primary device in the transformer substation. There are many problems during the closing of the disconnector, such as not in place, over the place, the contactor is loose and so on. This paper presents the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of disconnector GW4D-126D(W) under different closing states performed by ANSYS Workbench. The experimental modal analysis using vibrometer was conducted to verify the accuracy of the simulation. Through the analysis of the vibration signal in different closing states, the characteristic parameter can be extracted, and then the closing state can be distinguished by the characteristic parameter like frequency.
