The 14~(th) International Symposium on the Science and Technology of Lighting, LS14, being held in Como, Italy, is the latest in a series of symposia that started in the 1970s. Previous symposia in the series were held in: Loughborough, UK (1975); Enschede, Holland (1979); Toulouse, France (1983); Karlsruhe, Germany (1986); York, UK (1989); Budapest, Hungary (1992); Kyoto, Japan (1995); Greifswald, Germany (1998); Ithaca, USA (2001); Toulouse, France (2004); Shanghai, China (2007); Eindhoven, Holland (2010); and Troy, NY, USA (2012).
