The influence of nanoparticles MgO and SiO2in epoxy resin on the changes of the time to breakdown and the complex permittivity have been measured. The parameters of internal partial discharges in the cavity of the epoxy resin and its mixtures with nanoparticles by the Galvanic method have been studied. Phase Resolved Partial Discharge Analyzer was used to characterize the partial discharge measurements. Nanoparticles significantly affected on the time of breakdown. The MgO filler had negative and surface treatment of SiO2filler had a positive influence on time to breakdown. Frequency dependences of the real and imaginary parts of complex permittivity were measured within the frequency ranges from 1 mHz to 1 MHz by a capacitance method. The 1 wt.% nanoparticles caused the decrease of the complex permittivity. At the measurement of the temperature dependence of the imaginary permittivity and dissipation factor α-polarization was observed.
