摘要

The analysis of pavement distress through cracking has provided major challenges for roadauthorities. Manual methods of analysis lack consistency due to the subjective nature ofassessment and issues with image quality. Recent advances in image analysis andillumination have enabled automation of the data collection process, but have limitations interms of data processing and classification.This paper compares two automated systems, RoadCrack and the Laser CrackMeasurement System (LCMS), and recent advances in the integration of these technologiesto provide real time cracking analysis.
