At the early stage, the space activities are mainly exploration programs based on military project supported by government, limited to a single nation and kept confidentiality, and the influence of general public support and engagement were limited. But as the space technologies application and the development of space resources increase, the scale and project duration of space activities have gradually expanded. Therefore, for spreading space scientific knowledge and winning strong public support to weather societal and political changes over the period of space project, the public relation has become an important issue. One of the key points in the public relation is the interaction with the public. Above all, the technology transfer and business opportunity from space industry will play an even greater role in the future public relations of space activities. On the base of the character of space activities, and taking the development of public relations in aerospace industry into account, this paper investigates and analyses the present and development tendency of the construction of public relations in space activities. Furthermore, the development strategies of public relations for space activities and space industry are discussed here.
