ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF A SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK USING DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS

A modified network Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model is proposed, which has the abilityto (1) evaluate the efficiency of a supply chain with considering demand and capacity; (2)consider multiple time periods of product-related item with different schedule planning and (3)handle inventory and delayed that cannot be used directly in traditional DEA models. Themodified network DEA model may accept any quantitative factor as input and output dependingon the needs of decision makers. To prove the effectiveness of the model, a scenario test withdifferent demands, capacities, and scheduling plans is conducted for comparisons in theirperformance management.
