This paper focuses on the synchronization of coupled harmonic oscillators based on edge-event-triggered control. With periodic event detection and quantization, an edge-event-detecting algorithm is developed to determine the event times of each oscillator. In the proposed protocol, only relative state information is utilized to update all controllers, and the edge events are asynchronous with respect to each pair of adjacent oscillators. A numerical simulation is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed edge-event-detecting algorithm.
