This paper explores issues related to the credibility of socially generated information: the opportunities and pitfalls of Web 2.0 construed social media. Under consideration are what might be some of the risks and responsibilities of creating socially networked information which may be seen as credible and which raises cultural and ethical questions about its use and creation. Within the context of socially media, it speculates upon the fate of credible information in a milieu that may enable information naivete.
