The machine breakdown is often encountered in the practical production and processing. This paper mainly discusses the flexible job-shop rescheduling in the condition. On the basis of reliability and maintainability at the time of equipment breakdown, we construct the availability model for the machining equipment. We can use the availability model to estimate the repair time. Through the estimated time compare with the rescheduling time to determine whether need to carry out the rescheduling. Furthermore, when generate the rescheduling scheme we have to consider the objective function of minimizing the makespan and stability. The multilevel-coding genetic algorithm was used to get the scheduling scheme. The practical example proved that the estimated repair time is close to the actual repair time. It can ensure the timeliness and effectiveness of the rescheduling scheme.
