By physical model test, the force on the cylinder pier has been studied in the different conditions including alone wind, alone wave and wind and wave coupling action. Obtain the characteristic value of force including maximal horizontal force, 1/3 horizontal force and etc.. Analyze the relationship of different cumulative frequency wave height generated by wind and analyze wave spectrums and force spectrums on the pier generated by wind, wave and wind and wave coupling and the relationship between these wave spectrums and force spectrums. Results indicate there is the strong relativity between the wave spectrum and force spectrum. The wind has little influence on the force acting on pier and the impact factor is mainly the wave for the force acting on pier.
