Integration of distributed information systems as the base for publication and providing of geological data

Geological knowledge management is the key to effective steering of mining production. Informational support of decision making process would be impossible without publication and providing of diverse geological data. To meet the recent geóscientific demands, no single source of such data is inconceivable. Integration of specialised information resources is required with high level of interoperability. Application of Multi-purpose Geoinfcrmatioh Server (MGS) for an implementation of the proposed approach is.presented with emphasis on up-to-date international geoscience standards.
