We present recent work concerning the 3D optical data storage in thin organic films by means of nonlinear processes: cross-linking of coumarins photoinduced by two-photon absorption (TPA) to write information into the material, and the Second Harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy for the read-out. The study has been carried out with a Ti:sapphire laser (pulse duration 120 fs, rate 80 MHz) with a wavelength at 700 nm (write) and 800 nm (read-out).
