摘要

A new formulation, the Discrete Green's function (DGF) formulation of the FDTD method is presented. The analytical form of the DGF for the FDTD method is presented as a polynomial function. The FDTD algorithm is reformulated in terms of a discrete convolution. The new method can avoid the calculation of free space nodes and the need for absorbing boundary conditions. The application of the method as an absorbing boundary condition is investigated and comparison with PML is given. This has shown that DGF performs very well as an ABC.
