The NAND flash file system has advantages as a next generation storage device. It supports a fast read operation, consumes little electronic power and is impact-resistant However, the number of erasures is limited, because of NAND's physical characteristics. NAND flash memory has asymmetric units of read and write. It does not support an in-place update. A NAND flash file system, YAFFS, was proposed, which includes additional functionality. Our proposed file system is an efficient method of initialization in an embedded system with the NAND flash file system. In this paper we analyze the implementation of the file system.
