Solid State Carbon Sequestration by Utilization of Agro-wastes to Produce Value-added Products

摘要

Solid state carbon sequestration via utilization of agro-wastes to produce value added products such asbiofertilizer and biosorbent is studied in this paper. The carbon sequestration is a sustainabledevelopment process which can be used to curb the negative impacts of human activities by reducingthe emission of CO_2 via locking the carbon in solid form. Analytical analysis has found that both of theproducts contain relatively high percentage of organic carbon compare to other organic material such assoil. These might be due to the locking of carbon in solid form during the application of these products.
