This paper review the passive vibration isolation system firstly, and point out the conflicts: different frequency band requires different damping ratio; different disturbance needs different supporting stiffness. By using negative stiffness mechanism, zero and infinite dynamic stiffness are obtained. To solve former conflicts, a system with anisotropic stiffness is described. And for a practical isolation system, static stiffness and dynamic stiffness can be designed separately. And high gain can be replaced by precision control strategy and a passive isolator and an active actuator are connected in parallel.
