Two kinds of in-situ deposited ion imprinted polymers (IIPs) using electropolymerization method were presented for electrochemical detection of trace cadmium in water, which are ion imprinted polypyrrole/reduce graphene oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (IIPpy/rGO/GCE) and ion imprinted polyo-phenylenediamine/reduced graphene oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (IIPoPD/rGO/GCE). Electrochemical analysis of cadmium on the two modified electrodes was investigated by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) under the optimized conditions. The experiment results showed that IIPpy/rGO/GCE had wider linear range (1-100μg/L) and IIPoPD/rGO/GCE possessed lower detection limit (0.13 μg/L). The two kinds of modified electrodes are both green, simple, reused and compatible for trace cadmium detection in water with highly selectivity.
