This paper describes a low-profile X-band center-fed reflector antenna with a novel compact feed that features low-cost PCB fabrication, peak realized gain of 24 dBi, and low sidelobes ( 25dB) in the E and H plane. This reflector has a diameter of 22.54 cm and height of 5.3cm with the focus located in the aperture plane, i.e. F/D ratio of 0.25, making it challenging to achieve pattern symmetry with high illumination and spillover efficiencies. The illumination and spillover efficiencies were optimized, while maintaining a reflection coefficient of less than ?10 dB from 9.6 GHz to 11.1 GHz. A ?73 dB of isolation was achieved between two reflector antennas separated by 57.2cm, making it suitable for array, MIMO, or simultaneous transmitting and receiving (STAR) operations.
