Low-profile VHF and UHF broadband antennas with minimum air resistance and low probability of intercept functions for automobiles, drones, aircraft and satellites using metamaterials according to an embodiment of the present invention include: a circular radiator core; a circular ring of a mushroom structure which is spaced from the circular radiator core by a predetermined distance, is formed to surround the circular radiator core and is connected to the ground through one or more vias; and a conical radiator core support which has a bottom surface connected to the lower surface of the circular radiator core and a vertex point connected to a feed line. A monopole radiation pattern with high antenna gain and efficiency over the entire VHF and UHF bands can be obtained while lowering the height of the antenna to a tenth of an operating frequency wavelength or less.
