Wideband Dual-Circularly Polarised Feed for Compact Antenna Test Ranges with Low Cross Polarisation

摘要

This paper presents the design of a wideband dual-circularly polarised feed system centred at the Ka band, based on an easy-to-build waveguide polariser. It covers the band from 30 GHz to 40 GHz showing excellent cross-polar discrimination and an input return loss better than 20 dB along the full band. The system is composed of a turnstile orthomode transducer, the waveguide polariser, and a choked horn.
