With the industrial development in China, more and more dangerous chemicals are transported via roads, so the transportation of dangerous chemicals is thriving. However, due to a late start in the development of this form of transportation and many existing problems, a large number of accidents occur when transporting dangerous chemicals. The author analyzes reasons for those accidents, including low quality of practices, terrible vehicles and facilities, management defects, poor road traffic conditions and bad natural conditions. The author also proposes corresponding development countermeasures to effectively reduce or even avoid the accidents.
