摘要

In order to reduce accidents on ships, due to fatigue and carelessness of the officer on watch (OOW) in long time voyage, this paper develops an intelligent voice alarm system for vessel's navigation safety. It uses data fusion technology to process the ships' static and dynamic data which are detected by depth sounder, GPS, AIS (Automatic identification System) and other nautical instruments. According to navigation rules, the system can determine the emergency levels of ships' situation, sound the alarm in a human voice on the bridge during different levels of risks and gives valid suggestions for ship operations. It can send warning information to master's room, adjacent vessels, VTS centers, and maritime search and rescue units and take effective measures.
