In today's world web service provides assistance to the consumers in all aspects. Web service is the habitude of providing communication between various computers over the grid. Web service provides a medium for converting an existing application into web application by integrating it with open standards. Based on the end user's pick the service is provided in terms of intrinsic features to each user with the help of prediction technique. QoS is used to peculiarize the non functional attributes of services and for appraising the service to be recommended. The prediction approaches in service recommendation systems gathers the preferences from many users and makes automatic prognosis on the interest of the user. The objective of this critique is to report about the various approaches used for web service prediction systems available for the users. A survey is performed based on the strategies and algorithms which are used for web service prediction by different experimenters.
