摘要

BLDC motor have many advantages over other motors and are being increasingly used in different applications. The BLDC motor is fed with square wave current with 120° mode of conduction. For determining the performance of BLDC motor, it is necessary to carryout simulation during design stages as it reduces the time required for bringing out the final product. In this work the open source software FEMM 4.2 has been used for determining the flux linkage, induced emf and elelctromagnetic torque developed by the motor. A method for determining emf using DFT and IDFT operations is proposed in this paper.
