Field experiments in two plant canes and one ratoon crop were conducted at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune in medium black soil during 2009-10 and 2010-11. The promising sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) genotypes Co 2000-1, Co 0310 and Co 0205 along with CoC 671 and Co 86032 as standard checks were evaluated for their response to 75, 100 and 125 per cent recommended dose of Nitrogen (250 kg N/ha). P and K was applied @115 Kg/ha each as per recommended dose of suru sugarcane. From the pooled data analysis over two plant crops and one ratoon crop it was concluded that the genotype Co 0310 was superior over Co 2000-1, & Co 0205 and two standard checks Co 86032 and CoC 671 in respect of cane yield (93.79 t/ha.), B:C ratio (1:2.79), CCS (14.11 t/ ha.), millable height (295 cm.) and sucrose content (15.15 %) when fertilized with 125 per cent recommended fertilizer dose of Nitrogen to sum sugarcane.
