Both task-technology fit and user appropriation of technology have been noted to havesignificant effect on task performance. In a team context, it is through social appropriation oftechnology that the differences between misfit and fit teams quickly dissipate. However,previous research provides little guidance on the antecedences that influence the appropriationprocess. In this research, we investigate the relationship of the five-factor model (FFM) ofpersonality-through the Fit-Appropriation Model (FAM)-to group task performance withindifferent group support systems (GSS) configurations in the context of judgment tasks.
