摘要

An increase in the transmission capacity of broadcasting satellites is expected towards 4K and 8K UHDTV service using satellites. The tranmission systems for UHDTV satellite broadcasting are developed that include a modulation scheme of amplitude and phase shift keying (APSK). At the same time, the satellite transmission performance should be improved, including the non-linear characteristics of the on-board equipment for the stable implementation of this type of transmission system. We have designed a 100-W class GaN power amplifier and estimated its electrical performance in order to develop an on-board solid state power amplifier (SSPA) for use in 12 GHz-band broadcasting satellites.
