This abstract discusses error budgeting as applied to the metrology for production control of a large number of ultra-precision X-ray telescope forming mandrels. In addition, this discussion outlines the manufacturing challenge, a proposed metrology solution, and an error budget demonstrating the feasibility of a conceptual instrument design.
