A Study of the Impact of Mobile Self-Efficacy and Emotional Attachment on Mobile Device Infusion

Individuals are constantly using their smart phones and tablets as a digital enhancement to their day-to-day activities. The ubiquitous computing ability that individuals now have creates a genuine research interest in understanding how these individuals have integrated mobile devices within their lives. This study aims to explore how an individual's mobile self-efficacy and emotional attachment impact their perpetual engagement with mobile devices. Through a multi-method research approach, using both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses, this research provides several contributions to the dearth of research on this topic in the information systems field.
