Proposal of Result Indicators for monitoring of operational initiatives of Information Technology (IT) by the IT Governance - through 12 (twelve) Operational Areas of IT - in order to check how these are related to Corporate's Strategic Planning

This paper proposes 51 (fifty one) Result Indicators for 12 (twelve) Fields of Action of IT - Information Technology, which can be used as an initial reference for the start of monitoring activity by the IT Governance. These 51 (fifty one) Result indicators were validated as effectives by a survey conducted in the IT market in Brazil, with the participation of 150 (one hundred fifty) IT Executives, as part of the Doctorate Thesis developed by the author of this work. This survey was done all over the country (Brazil) and covered variety types of companies, such as. Industries, Services, Banks, Sails and others. Some tables and spreadsheets were built, in order to help to put in practice this initial process describes in this paper, and these are also included in its text. Also a bibliographical research, that was held about Conception of Indicators (as a part of the Doctorate Thesis) and which drove the construction of those starting Result Indicators proposed in this paper, is presented. At the end, this work points and notes that these Result Indicators proposed can be used in real world and also that these can really support the mission of IT Governance of controlling, of auditing and of mentoring IT activities with the purpose of guarantee that these are always focused on meeting the strategic guidelines that were pre-planned for the activities for this area. By the academic manner as this work was built (assembly and simulation) it is possible to achieve this conclusion that the proposal presented can be useful, by the methodological structure exposed for the treatment regarding the integration of the IT Governance with the processes of Strategic Planning, what can assist a first and initial approach, for posterior development of more Result Indicators and also new analysis, despite of the User-Corporation size.
