This paper mainly studied the characteristics of non-motor vehicles waiting behavior at a signal intersection by the survey of two kinds of waiting mode. Based on the statistical analysis, we discuss non-motor vehicles waiting behavior preference. We obtained the following conclusions: turn left and then straight signal phase order to make non-motor vehicles more prone to violations. The width across the street has a significant effect on the row position distribution. There is a negative correlation between the traffic volume on the left and the number of stops in the waiting area, and there is a positive correlation between the traffic flow to the straightway and the number of stops in the waiting area in the parking line ahead of line mode. The traffic flow to the left is positively related to the number of stops on the inside of the waiting area in BOX waiting mode.
