Carbon-based nanomaterials have already shown its potentials as tools for neural interfacing, while there are few reports on the biological effects of graphene on nervour system or neurons. Also, considering its excellent electrical properties of graphene, nervous system (NS) would be an ideal model for exploring its biological effects. Thus, in this study, we attempted to interpret the neuronal response to graphene substrates in a hippocampal culture model and determine the potential for applications within the nervous system.
