This study has shown that highly porous PEEK scaffolds can be synthesized using a thermally induced phase separation and particulate leaching methods, with controlled macro, micro and nano porosities. Scaffold properties can be controlled with the polymer concentration and the salt particle size. Cell adhesion measure suggests that the obtained porous facilitated initial in vitro attachment.Thus therse PEEK scaffold could be applied in bone tissue engineering that requires good cell seeding through the macropores in the scaffold.
