摘要

SNAP-PDMS polymer used in cell culture us a tool that will allow us to better understand retina damage mechanism upon abnormal NO production by light exposure. This system has great potential to let us begin to understand the protective and deleterious roles that NO plays in cells especially in in vitro system. SNAP-PDMS is highly capable of being appled to deliver NO with a precisely controlled manner to both in vitro and in vivo system. Ultimately, this greater understanding should lead to new theareputic approaches to treating retinal degeneration.
