In conclusion, high-density PEG brush peptide nanospheres with disulfide linkages were successfully synthesized. Their surface properties were precisely controlled from bioinert to bio-adsorptive by detaching and attaching PEG brushes. These surface-controllable peptide nanospheres are expected to be a new class of nanocarriers, especially for the cytoplasmic delivery of therapeutic protein.
