Amorphous TiO_2 coatings with Ra 0.1 m were uniformly formed on all of the Ti alloys under the potential of breakdown occurrence. These oxide coatings contained alloy elements. The difference of this film composition influenced their water contact angle and osteoconductivity. TiO_2 coatings on Ti64 and Ti67 indicated high osteoconductivity and low water contact angle. These results were similar to those of TiO_2 coating on pure Ti. On the contrary, TiO_2 coating on TNTZ and TCFA showed low osteoconductivity and high water contact angle.
